WINE + ART

WINE+ART is Gittinger’s cultural project at the meeting point of wine and contemporary art. Through storytelling and intentional cross-pollination between senses and disciplines, we build a bridge between terroir-driven winemaking and artistic thinking—so both worlds gain new perspectives.
Contemporary artists push boundaries and reimagine traditions here. On Szent György-hegy, we host and organize performance and visual-arts events, masterclasses, pop-up exhibitions, outdoor sculptures, and indoor installations. In this landscape, nature amplifies art, and audiences are invited into an open, relaxed, and participatory experience.

Just as an artwork carries the imprint of material, hand, and place, our wines and ciders carry the mark of soil, season, and time. Both practices seek presence over perfection: minimal intervention, careful attention, and a willingness to let the work breathe. Sediment in the bottle is like texture on the canvas—evidence of process, not a flaw—and each vintage, like each exhibition or each unique piece of artwork, is a singular, unrepeatable moment. We value the Japanese notion of wabi-sabi: beauty in impermanence, irregularity, and the graceful aging of things. In both the cellar and the studio, authorship is shared with nature, yielding works that are alive, evolving, and deeply site-specific.
