Return & Refund Policy

1. General Information

Thank you for shopping with Gittinger Pince. We take great care to ensure the quality of every bottle we ship. If, however, you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, this policy outlines your rights and options regarding returns and refunds.

2. Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)

If you are a consumer located within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you or a third party (other than the carrier) receives the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement (e.g. by e-mail) using the contact details below.

3. Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that:

• The product is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging.
   

• The return is initiated within 14 days of receipt.
   

• The product was purchased directly from gittinger.wine.
   

Please note that due to the nature of wine and other perishable goods, we cannot accept returns of opened bottles or products damaged after delivery.

4. Return Shipping

The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping, unless the product was received damaged or incorrect.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service. Gittinger Pince cannot be held responsible for items lost during return transit.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a description and photo evidence of the issue.
We will offer either:

• A replacement (subject to availability), or
   

• A full refund, including shipping costs.
   

6. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7–14 business days.

Please note that:

• Shipping costs are non-refundable (except in cases of damaged or incorrect products).
   

• Refund processing time may vary depending on your payment provider.

Shipping Information

All orders from Gittinger Pince are carefully packaged and shipped to ensure that your wines arrive in perfect condition.
We currently deliver only within Hungary.
Please make sure that all shipping details provided at checkout are accurate to avoid any delivery delays or issues.

2. Processing Time

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.
During busy periods (such as holidays or seasonal promotions), processing times may be slightly longer.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your order has been shipped, including tracking details if available.

 

3. Shipping Method and Delivery Time

Deliveries are handled by trusted courier partners experienced in transporting fragile goods such as wine bottles.
Estimated delivery time within Hungary: 1–3 business days after dispatch.

Please note that delivery times may vary depending on your location and the courier’s schedule.

 

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on:

• The number of bottles / total weight, and
   

• The delivery address within Hungary.
   

From time to time, free shipping promotions may be available — these will be clearly announced on our website.

 

5. Delivery Conditions

• Deliveries can only be made to persons 18 years of age or older, in accordance with Hungarian alcohol regulations.
   

• The courier may request proof of age or identification upon delivery.
   

• If no one is available to receive the package, the courier will leave a notification or attempt redelivery.
   

Please ensure that someone is present at the delivery address during the expected delivery period.

 

6. Damaged Shipments

We take every precaution to ensure safe delivery.
If your package arrives visibly damaged or with broken bottles:

• Please take photos of the damaged package,
   

• Refuse the delivery if the damage is evident, and
   

• Notify us within 48 hours at attila@gittinger.wine.
   

We will investigate the issue and offer a replacement or refund as appropriate.
